Hours: Monday to Friday alternating shifts (6am2pm / 2pm10pm or 7am3pm / 3pm11pm)

The Role

Total Staff, on behalf of our client, are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Pharmaceutical Team Leader to join a growing Aseptic Production Unit based in Runcorn.

This is a key leadership position within a sterile manufacturing environment, responsible for overseeing compounding operations and ensuring that all products are produced to the highest standards in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and company procedures.

The successful candidate will provide direction, supervision, and day-to-day management of the compounding centre team, ensuring quality, safety, and operational objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and develop a team through regular feedback, one-to-ones, and performance reviews.

Ensure compliance with all company policies, Health & Safety, GMP, and ISO standards.

Oversee daily operations to meet production, quality, and performance targets.

Maintain a clean, compliant, and audit-ready environment within aseptic areas.

Monitor team and individual performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.

Support the recruitment, training, and retention of high-performing staff.

Demonstrate visible leadership in production areas and ensure gowning compliance.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist in maintaining quality accreditations.

About You

Proven experience within pharmaceutical aseptics, medical devices, or compounding environments.

Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

Strong understanding of GMP requirements and aseptic processing.

Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.

Ability to maintain high operational standards under pressure.

Strong focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
