Quality Control Release Officer
Location: Runcorn
Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts (7am3pm and 3pm11pm weekly)

The Role
Total Staff, on behalf of our client, are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Release Officer to join a leading healthcare manufacturing organisation based in Runcorn.
Reporting to the QC Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Control professional or a recent life sciences graduate looking to develop their career in a GMP-regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review all batch documentation as part of the product release process to confirm compliance with product specifications.
Approve batches for release to market or for further internal use.
Support investigations into non-conformities that may affect product quality or compliance.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality systems and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Prepare and issue Certificates of Conformance in line with customer requirements.
Maintain and operate Quality Assurance databases to support data trending and reporting.
Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure full compliance with the companys Quality Management System (QMS).
Ensure outsourced products are processed efficiently and recorded accurately in SAP.
Carry out additional duties as required to support the wider Quality team.
About You
Degree in a life sciences discipline (or equivalent experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment).
Experience working in aseptic operations or aseptic compounding is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of GMP requirements, particularly those related to aseptic product manufacture and control.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
